Snapchat is going to launch a game called Snapchat Mobile, but it won’t be in-game.
In a blog post announcing the news, Snap announced that it will only be launching the app for smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices that can run Android 4.0 and up.
This means that the company won’t support any Android apps that can’t run on the platform.
Snap also didn’t say when or where the game would be released.
“Snapchat Mobile is a game that uses a unique and beautiful visual language to connect people, communicate, and share content.
It uses a platform that’s uniquely Snap,” the company wrote.
“The Snapmobile platform allows us to deliver a unique experience to people around the world.”
A Snapchat spokesperson said the company didn’t want to be “clueless about what people think about the app.”
The company did, however, say that the app is not being made for any specific platform.
“We’re not making the app to fit into any particular platform,” the spokesperson said.
“Instead, the Snapmobile app will be available to everyone and will be developed to meet the needs of everyone’s smartphone, tablet, and laptop.”
Snapchat is currently available on more than 100 million devices.
“In addition to creating a game to connect users around the globe, Snap will also be expanding its Snapchat Stories platform into a video game experience, as well as a new Snapchat mobile app that is available exclusively to Snap users in the US,” the blog post said.
The Snapmobile game is available on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone.
Snapchat will launch a mobile version of the game in early 2017.
